Sheet size servings...Ive read, read & read trying to get it with what seems to be so much conflict on serving sizes and I still end up wanting to cry. icon_cry.gif
I need a sheet cake to serve 30. The best I can figure is using 2 9x13s stacked. That is probably too much, but a single 9x13 is not enough.
Does this seem right to yall? I feel SO frusterated.

Thanks in advance,
Shelly

Hey! I could be wrong but this is what I have always heard. A single layer 1/2 sheet which is a 11 X 15 should feed about 30-40 people. I also googled it and came up with the same informaion. Hope this helps and maybe someone with more knowledge will post their answer.

Good Luck
Sherri

11x15 should serve 30-40 depending how big you cut the pieces.

The standard serving size for a single-layer sheet cake is 2x2 inches. This means:

9x13 = 24 servings
11x15 = 35 servings
12x18 = 54 servings

If you decide to make double-layers (4" tall) then of course you would double the serving sizes, so a double-layer 9x13 = 48 servings.

I would use an 11x15 for the servings you need. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
