I tried to use WBH b'cream under fondant-DISASTER!! icon_cry.gif I have another daughter's cake to make and I want to use fondant. Would buttercream dream and/or sugarshack's b'cream recipe both hold up under fondant? Thanks in advance for your help. icon_smile.gif

Sure, just make sure that the B.C. is cooled in the fridge completely and fairly firm to the touch before you put the fondant on it. It helps with getting the nice squared edges all around the cake.

I agree, if it is Kaye's buttercream, you should refrigerate til the icing is hard. I don't know about the house buttercream.
