I use KEE-Seal brand disposable bags. They are the best ones I've ever used. I order right from their website, and you save a lot of money if you order a case of 5 boxes (100 bags per box) ... a case of 500 12" bags is $55.00 + $7.00 shipping, for a total of $62 (comes out to $12.40 per box of 100 bags). Here's the link: KEE-Seal Ordering Webpage.

P.S. - If you click on this link, you can get some free samples and a coupon for $5 off your first order. thumbs_up.gif

thank you for this! I was actually at a store were they had them at reduced price.
They also sell them for less if you order 6 or more cases. but would still be more than the price you are paying.
I think i'll stick to the wilton's for now though. They are about .10 cents each bag if i buy the box at 50% off. i don't do a lot of cakes or have a side business so that will do for now. I thought maybe the discount the store was offering was worth it. icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks!

I use parchment paper or washable bags most of the time for cakes. I use disposible bags when I do cookies and candy. I buy wilton and wait til I have a 50% off coupon, so I pay $10 for 100.
cakesbyjess, thank you for the link. I will be sending for my samples.

at www.HobbyLobby.com they have a coupon every day for 50% one item. I use that to buy my more expensive items I can find there. Like the bags. They are $12 for 100 and with the coupon i get them 100 for about $6. It is a great deal! I hope there is a Hobby Lobby store in your area!

i don't have hobbylobby near me. i'm up on the North East side. They do have michaels, acmoore and now ragshops are carrying a lot of wilton stuff. M & ACM also have 50% off from time to time. that's what i've been doing too. I thought maybe that place had a better deal, but when i saw it was just 100 - not really.
thank you all.

I just went to AC Moore and bought the 100-bag value pack and it was listed at $19.99 but for some reason they rang up for $15 and then I had a 40% off coupon = about 9-10 cents/bag. I used to use the bags you wash out after each use but thinking about it, it COULD be unsanitary if you don't wash them out completely... safer and quicker clean-up to just use disposable!!

I use disposable. Hobby Lobby has a 40% coupon every other week so I use that to buy them.

When I was a teenager, my mother decorated cakes and had a good side business going. Back then, the only bags available were the Wilton non-disposable and it was MY job to wash those things (very few people had automatic dishwashers back then). When I started decorating, the disposable bags were a godsend even though I have a dishwasher now.

I just used the Kee-Seal bags yesterday for the first time. Very pleased! I've been using the Wilton re-useable ones with no issues. Ran out and wanted to try the Kee-Seal ones.
I ordered mine from Earlene's website.

I buy mine at my local cake dec supply shop, I think they're CK brand and I get 25 (I believe) for $3.99. I think they're 10" or 12" bags. (My arthritis generally doesn't allow me to work comfortably with a really large bag like 16" and up).

My reusable bags eventually leech grease, so these are a pleasure to use, even if they are a little pricey. But since Hubby usually ends up with dishwashing duties, he's happier now that I'm using disposables.
