Gnache - Cocoa Powder?

I need to know if you can use cocoa powder instead of chocolate.icon_surprised.gif I love being able to pour the chocolate on the cake! Please help!

No. You need the solid or chip chocolate to make ganache.Once your cream is heated you add the chocolate to it and stir until it is blended and pourable.

I use Hersheys Special Dark 8 oz bars.

You may use cocoa but this is a choc syrup recipe. it is also pourable. You may find the recipe at foodtv.ca. it was shown on SUGAR with the episode BANANAS.... i hope this helps.
