Has anyone tried this? I saw it in her book "The Well-Decorated Cake" and it looked really interesting.

You apply the spackled paste ( which is a combination of icing,cake crumbs and filling) over a crumb coated cake. It's suppose to fill in any uneven spots on the cake's surface.
