For a 3 tiered stacked cake, the cake was a 12", 9",and 6" with buttercream and I delivered the cake approx. 30 minutes away, how much would you charge??

The bride is providing the fresh flowers for the cake

I would have charged a basic price of $3.00/serving for a minimum of $240.00. Price could be higher depending on level of detail in decoration and cake flavor.

I would've asked this question BEFORE delivering the cake hun.... I would've charged $175.~ or so for it depending on how it was decorated.

Tip of advice.... From what most CC'ers post about...get the money in advance.... never deliver a cake to anyone without payment lol... you may never see the money otherwise icon_smile.gif

I think you're going to get a lot of different opinions on this question. Where are you located? Cakes in major metropolitan areas (like LA, NYC, Atlanta, Connecticut, etc...) are going to be higher in cost than in areas like the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Idaho, or South Dakota I would think. Also, what are wedding cakes going for in your city? Are you accomplished at your designing/decorating? That will make a difference, too.

That being said, I would think that you should be charging AT LEAST $225 for this cake. Just my opinion.

And without quoting a price before delivery, the customer might decide that what you want to charge is more than what they can pay. Prices should be discussed before cake delivery. icon_smile.gif
