Thrown up before their first wedding cake??? 
I am ready to go, everything packed and just watching the clock tick away and getting ready to hurl...I am sooo nervous. I was great up until now. Everything has gone according to plan...that is what is making me nervous. Maybe a beer would help!

I am calm while I bake, while I make the frosting and any adornments, and calm until I start assembling the cake. Then I get cranky, very critical of every move I make, and absolutely nervous. I'm sorry I can't give you words of advice, because I've done 20 wedding cakes now, and I still get frantic.
Just be overprepared, and everything will be fine, really. And don't apologize for anything that looks wrong to you. 99.9999% of people don't see the flaws we do.
You will do great, and I wish you the best. Post a picture!
Well I have not done one yet. However, I don't think I would be that bad. I figure it's just cake and icing.
As decorators we are very hard on our own cakes. Trust me NO ONE will notice a thing wrong with your cake. People tend to just see the over all cake and not the details.
I'm sure your cake is beautiful. Don't worry the hard part is over. I have no doubt the bride will love what you did.
Post the photo though. I want to see how it came out.
Take a deep breath and calm down. Get your mind off it for awhile if you can. Maybe go deliver it early. Can you get in?
I haven't throw up, but I haven't done a wedding cake yet. I have lay there awake all night thinking over and over how I was going to do a cake that was for someone other than me and my DH though! If I ever get the chance to do a wedding cake, I probably will throw up!! 
I did my first yesterday and felt exactly the same way, but it was fine, really. Everything will work out just great, promise! (((HUGS)))
Karen, I was the same way...eerily calm thru the whole process until now . I just called my friend to see if she could leave a bit earlier to help me. She agreed with me...beer before, not good idea...beer after, very good idea! I will post a picture no matter what I promise. On the table or the floor, I will post!
