I thought I remembered seeing a Krispy Kreme cake that looked like a box with doughnuts in it. Now I can't find it anywhere here or elsewhere online. Where oh where can it be.

Nope not that one, that is pretty good though. It looked like a window box the cake was cut away (I guess) and there were actual krispy kremes in it. Yum yum I will keep looking. I think I want to make one for my friends birthday next month. We used to work together and she would always bring them in, that evil girl.

I wouldn't have thought of using real donuts and putting sticks in them to hold them still... that's very creative.

Holy cow - that link for the Krispy Kreme cake is awesome! No one ever shares what they charge and all of her prices are so clearly spelled out... a bit off topic but thanks!!

The KK cake looks like a 9 x 13 with carved and frosted sides attached and a gelatin sheet across the top.... that is my best guess. An incredible idea - I could never have come up with something so creative and original!
