How Much Bc Do I Make?

I have no idea how much bc to make in order to ice a 3 tier square cake with 16, 12 & 8 inch double layers. I want to crumb coat first and I have no idea how many cups a 2lb bag of powdered sugar makes. I never really measured before so I don't know how much of everything to purchase. Thanks!

Wilton bc recipe with 1 lb. powdered sugar makes apx. 3 cups...so 2 lbs would be about 6 cups.

For those cakes you need about 23 cups of icing so you need about 8 lbs of icing sugar then you will need more to decorate with.
