Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and to cake decorating. I am to make a cake for my neices 9th birthday in a couple of weeks and she is wanting a luau cake. I was thinking of making a round cake and stacking it with a much smaller one to make a tiki hut out of it. I don't have any of the fancy pans or anything so I was wanting to know if I could use springform pans to do this? If so can I use boxed cake mix to do this? Should I put something between the cakes? Help!!! What would be the best thing to do the top of the tiki hut?
