Has anyone here been watching the "Deadliest Catch" series on the Discovery Channel?
I had been watching most of the season but watched a marathon of episodes today.
My late father was a commercial fisherman and I cannot help but wonder what he went thru when he worked on the ships.
I LOVE this show!! Been watching it since it's debut! Nope, couldn't PAY me to do that! But you do get addicted to the people on it, Sig (and his brothers) and Phil (and his sons) are my favorites. My latest thing to watch is the "Ice Road Truckers". They drive 18 wheelers over the frozen lakes. It's fascinating to watch the ice cracking and shifting under them. Kinda like playing "russian roulette" waiting to see if the ice breaks! Sorry, I'm kinda warped!!
We have Deadliest Catch on Tivo along with the Ice Road Truckers. I am from MN originaly and remember being on the lakes ice fishing and hearing the cracks, it is so scary, I cant imagine what they are thinking when they see the cracks never mind hearing them comeing.
hubby's FAVORITE show! I say, you've seen one episode you've seen 'em all.
That's what I think too. We canceled the TV since the only one watching it most of the time was my husband and he wasn't watching much. When he did watch it he always chose that stuff or the shows about how a tunnel or bridge was made. 
Then he couldn't figure out why I wouldn't sit with him.

Yes, I watch that with my dh sometimes, he likes the show, but says you could not pay him enough $$ to do that job. Those are some tough guys! What a dangerous job!
I know I could not survive an hour on a boat...lol...but watching does not get me sick. Sig and Phil always keep me laughing....lol.

I've watched every episode for the past 3 years. My dad also like it as he, his dad and brothers were commercial deep sea fisherman out of Monterey, Ca. The also caught crab. My uncles use to go to Alaska every summer, Salmon fishing. My one uncle went overboard but they resuced him in time. He never went back after that. I adore this show. I also watch the Ice Road Truckers. Glad you all like it too.
