this week i'll be making 3 small cakes for a wedding cake tasting. i am not going to DECORATE them, (for the wedding they'll be decorated in fondant and gumpaste) but am just going to fill them and ice in vanilla buttercream to keep it simple. however, i'm going to package them up and deliver them, so since i wont be staying,i'd like to put a small garnish on each so they will know what it what, with a nice little touch. i know i could do labels on the box but, i'd like to dress it up a bit. suggestions for the carrot cake?

banana cake w/ strawberry filling - garnish: a few fresh berries
amaretto cake w/ bittersweet ganache & amaretto- garnish : bittersweet chocolate disks

carrot cake w/ whipped cream-cream cheese filling- garnish: ??????? HELP!

hmm...maybe you could pipe just small carrots on the top of the cake..like tight little squiggles with a few green leaves at the top...whimsical looking maybe icon_smile.gif just a thought...
