Hello there! I'm doing a spider-man cake and would like to have the effect of see-thru, colored, cellophane looking, buildings along the sides of my cake.
Is it possible to make see-thru sugar panels ( not too big, approx. 3''x7'' )
out of the sprinkles you use for cookies? I was going to line a small aluminum pan w/ parchment paper and pack the sprinkles down, making individual panels by seperating with skewers. Then bake at 400 degrees to melt and hopefully make a cellophane looking panel. Has anyone done anything like this? Thanks!

I am not quite sure if you are saying you want "windows" or not....however, if that is what you mean you can use wire to shape like a rectangle and dip in Knox gelatin. The gelatin will grab the wire and fill in the shape. If you want colors you can use your gel colors for colored panels. Hope that helps.
