Ok all my buddies here on CC.....HELP!! Today I was contacted by a bride who wants a Golf themed wedding cake. Her fiance proposed on the 17th hole, so she wants to incorporate that into the wedding cake. I thought about making each tier a golf green with the top layer being the Golf Ball. She does not want the traditional wedding cake. Golf!!! UGH!!!

My next cake request is for a Transformer cake. The customer has bought four transformer figures and wants a cake background for the figures. I have searched google, but not sure what I want to do.

So...I thought I would come to my favorite group of people to get some help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you....

Patrice

re: golf wedding -- see sketch -- way out there idea (she did say she did NOT want traditional)

bottom tier --> hex or octagon w/ argyle sock pattern in wedding colors.

next tier -- triangle w/ flag motif -- and a 17 on top and even sides

next -- carved too look like golf club head (driver -- pun: he drove her into his arms?)

top -- round w/ little recess carved in top like it was the cup the ball goes in, fondant figures holding a flag w/ a diamond ring on it. crossed golf clubs for arch (possible pun -- on side -- Par 2)

could even make it whimsy/tilted style

hope there's an idea in there somewhere you can use.

as for transformers -- which ones? -- could see this being a large sheet made to look like a street in a city w/ cookie buildings on sides and the toys in the middle.
