FYI! Just saw that there is a white Kitchenaid Artisan (5 qt) in the Friday Sale at Amazon.com for $169, with $25 off a $125 purchase in the Kitchen dept., and has free shipping too, I think. Janice

Make sure it is not a refurbished one. If its new then that is a good deal...

I have purchased two refurbished Kitchen Aids from a local dealer and I've not had any problems with them. The warrenty is still affective, although I didn't have to use it. Maybe it was just my luck, but if the warrenty still applies... icon_biggrin.gif Katie

I have a refurbished KA that I bought over 7 years ago- it has been through a lot, I even make pizza dough with it (notoriously hard on mixers). It's still going strong!

I am in the market for another one though, so thanks for the heads-up veejattx, that's a good deal!!

I was just wondering if anyone knew about the cranberry KA? I was in Dillards and saw one (It looks hot pink to me) but I have been looking on the KA website and other websites and can not find it. Is this a discontinued color? I should have bought it when I saw it!!! icon_cry.gif Anybody know where/if I can find one? I really want the pink one!

This is a refurbished KA, but this is where I got mine last year and have had no problem with it at all, and I see that others have had good experiences with them as well. Being refurbished does not bother me at all, and in a lot of cases will save a good deal of money. Janice

My sister purchased a refurbished KA before she got married and moved to Georgia. Her new hubby bought her the super hooey dewey massive one with all the attachments for Christmas that same year! Guess who got the hand me down refurbished one? icon_biggrin.gif That was before I started my cake obsession and I told her I didn't think I would use it! icon_eek.gif I am so glad I decided to take her up on the deal. It cost me 25.00 for shipping and has been through the ringer...just made me an awesome batch of MMF last weekend thumbs_up.gif

Okay, so I didn't win the auction on the cranberry KA icon_cry.gif But My DH was sitting next to me and said, well what about another color? So, I bid on a Lemon Grass Accolade...and won!!! icon_biggrin.gif Now I am just waiting for it to come in the mail. But as I am waiting I start to wonder (and probably should have figured this our first) what the difference is between an Accolade and an Artisan?? I hope I didn't make a mistake. I hear everyone on here talking about their Artisans..... icon_confused.gif
