Can someone tell me the difference between lustre and shimmer dust? Which do you use for what? I know this has been asked a million times but I can't remember....

luster dust is just that a "dust" usually has a metallic tint to it (gorgeous) it is often mixed with alcohols or extracts (with a high alcohol content) and painted on items to achieve a shimmer and shine or can be brushed onto chocolate, fondant, or gumpaste items while it's still dry as well (you just end up using more of it)

Shimmer dust.........sold by wilton is a much grainier dust more granular if you ask me and not THAT shimmery.....however CC has shimmer dust that is not quite as fine as luster dust but does give a nice shine.......your best bet is going to be to suck it up and buy a bottle and test them out yourself different ones work better for different things and for different people!
