Just wondering....I've heard that many people dislike the taste of fondant. I see that MMF and/or RBC are alternatives. Which do you prefer (and why)?

I prefer the MMF over the RBC. The MMF is easier to manipulate and is less greasy. I found the RBC too sweet.

Thx cashley. I'm a newbie and haven't tried (or learned how to use) either....just figured I should start with the one people (CCers) prefer.

for every person you'll find on here that loves one over the other, the next will be the opposite. I LOVE rolled buttercream-easy to work with, easy to repair, easy to make, you can really play with the flavors to find one you love. It's WONDERFUL stuff.

To me, it's much better than MMF-the marshmallow flavor gags me. I cannot put enough flavor in to cover up that taste!

I've never used the RBC, only MMF, and I love working with the MMF. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't stand up. I can't make bows and flowers that stand up and things like that with it. My 5 yr. old LOVES the taste of MMF. I'd love to try RBC, but don't have a recipe for it and tried to search it on here and came up with nothing. If there is anyone willing to share their recipe, I'd really appreciate it.
