I have a stacked basketball cake for Saturday and have searched for Lisa's instructions and couldn't locate them.

It's been along time since I did one and just wanted to refresh my memory.
Lisa, as good as your basketball looks, it's hard to believe that you had any trouble.
It was just so hot in my kitchen and by the time I got done piping all the stars, the icing was too thin to sit up on the edge of the cake (hoop) like I wanted it to. It just kept sliding off! I managed to push it back up though. use 2 8x8 and 2 9x9 stack the 2 9x9 in the middle carve until u get the round shape of the basketball...the curve line in the ball is only one line (use real ball to get the line right) do this using a airbrush...pipe using a number 2 round ...
