I want to use luster dust for some cookies that I made, I want them to have this sparkling look. The question is if I can do it like that, just putting the dust without mixing it with any vodka or anything else. The luster dust that I have is from CK Products, it says non toxic, so, I would imagine that is the same as edible. I'm I right? Could I have any problems if I put some luster on my cookies? Maybe it says non toxic but that doesn't mean that you can actually eat it. Maybe it means that it can be use on decorations for cakes that nobody is going to eat. But I want to know if i can put it on my cookies and then eat them. Sorry, I couldn't organize my quetion better is just that I'm really tired and I'm going to bed. Thanks a lot!

Well, I guess this is a tricky one, some people use it for decoration purposes only and some eat it, I have coverd a whole cake with super pearl and of course, eaten the cake, never had a problem. I am comfortable eating the thing.... HTH.

I do this all the time as it adds a lot to the look of the cookie. When luster dust is applied dry, it comes off when touched - steam the dust to set it.
