A co-worker has accepted a job with a company that owns and operates gas stations. We will have a going away party for her and I want to create a cake that looks like one of the gas pumps for this chain...So I need your suggestions as to how you would go about creating such a cake...

This is what formed in my brain...I have recently started using marshmallow krispies for loads of things...covered in fondant and decorated with that too. So you could make all your parts with that ahead of time, say the gas pump and poles or tires and such, then set up the items on a sheet cake which could be easier to cut in an office situation. Just my opinion!

An old fashion gas pump would look neat.

Doug...I intend to stop by pumps and take picture this week and work from it...I will post as soon as possible.

Ginger...I have thought about the rice krispies for the pump...good suggestion.

Suebee...an old fashion gas pump may work too! Hopefully this will not be a hard cake to create...just the details!!!!

I appreciate your suggestions and if you have anything to add, please let me know.
