Hey all!

Couldnt find this in any other posts, sorry if this already exists but I was wondering...

I am making a cake with a FBCT and wanted to have a blue background, preferably a little darker. There is a little white in the transfer, and some flesh color. The rest is dark red and black. Do you think this will be a problem? I have only seen FBCT in the tutorials placed on white or creme colored backgrounds. Any info or tips would be the best, thanks so much!!

If you look in my photos, there is a train cake and a disco cake. Both have airbrushed backgrounds with FBCTs. But, the key with these is that the icing backing for the the FBCT's is black--not the normal white. When you do your fill of the lite colors, make sure that you make a thick layer. With the train, you can see where some of the black bled through because the layer of yellow icing was too thin in that spot. So I would say that it could be done. icon_smile.gif

Oh thanks so much! That really helps. I like your cakes too! The Stayin Alive one was the best!

I just did one on chocolate ganache which is VERY dark and it looked fine. I followed the recipe from the tutorial on this site. It had orange and white in the transfer. My Harley cake in my photos but I don't think it's a very good pic to tell from.

Thanks guys! Your cakes look so nice! I think I am definitely going to go with the dark background now.
