I've taken a decorating class, but i'm still just trying to get started with cake decorating. i've seen cakes with gerber daisey's on them. Can someonevplease tell me how to do this? i'm not even sure what tip to use. thank You

My guess is that they are made out of a fondant/gumpaste mixture or royal icing (don't know what tip though). Haven't made them myself yet but I know the new class offered by Wilton does the fondant/gumpaste ones and the course 2 does the royal icing ones (they are just regular daisies but I'm sure you could make them gerber with no problem.

If you're looking to make the gerber daisies out of fondant/gumpaste, here is the link to the worksheet by FMM. http://www.fmmsugarcraft.com/pdf/page11.pdf

I recommend the cutter Notjustcake posted above. It is made by PME and cuts and veins the petals.
