So one my friends is getting married in Berkshires, and I've volunteered to make her cake. I didn't know it would be this difficult, but she and her fiance love the mountains, and the outdoors, so they want something to represent that. She's getting married the end of August, which means I can't yet do fall colors, and it has to be summery. I can't think of anything that isn't fall, is wedding-y, and yet represents their theme. Any suggestions? I'm pretty desperate...please! I'm pretty versatile with different mediums, so any and all suggestions will be very much appreciated. I'm sketching now, and going to present her with ideas next week. Thanks so much everyone...I know you'll come up with something great!
Edited to add... http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=35602 I found the following cake by cakesbyanh and really like it, but I still need more ideas. I have also searched outdoors and mountains in the galleries.
while not technically a wedding cake -- in this day and age it could be.
add second kayak or do a double one -- add brides veil flutter and "just married"
running life's rapids together
