How do you do striped fondant? I've tried several ways and can't seem to get the stripes to stay together well.

Thanks!

The only method I've gotten to work is to paint the stripes on white fondant once it's already been applied to the cake.

One way that I learned to stripe fondant is to:
1. Roll out strip of color A
2. Cut thin strips of color B
3. Smear Crisco on top of color A and on your strips B
4. Place B on top of A
5. Place saran wrap on top of your fondant and roll gently applying equal pressure.
6. Color strips (B) will blend into strip A making a striped effect.

**Note that your strips will expand, so make smaller than you think you will want, and remember to roll gently and both ways.
I suggest practicing on a small piece first.

Oh my word.. Painting on? UGGH... I dont think I could get them straight. Especially if you paint the fondant while it's already on the cake.

Oi!
