Wasn't sure where to post this, but since I posted my original request for help here, I figured I'd post here.

Thanks to everyone whose great ideas helped me make my daughter's graduation cake a huge success!

Elmo was sculpted out of Rice Krispie treats, skewered to death to hold him together and covered in fondant. Everyone, young and old, absolutely loved him.

The cap is just a square piece of foam board (which is the only non-edible part of the whole cake), sitting on top of a marshmallow. The gown is all marshmallow fondant.
