Is there a way to make my own airbrush colors? I have all of the Wilton regular gel paste colors, so I was wondering if I could dilute those and not have them bleed when I spray them out of the airbrush. If someone has a recipe I would really appreciate it! Also, what is the best icing to use as a base icing to spray my colors onto? I'm new to airbrushing, so any tips will help. I'm making a Tinkerbell birthday cake Thursday night. I already have the color flow Tinkerbell ready and was wanting to try out my new airbrush. Thank you so much!

Air brush colors are primarily regular food color and water.Gel paste colors do not have the same consistency, so you do not want to put it directly into your air brush. I have diluted the paste to do brush embroidery, I suppose you could try diluting it down to a very watery consistency, you do not want any clumps.
