Question On Getting Black

I tinted some icing black. I used some cocoa and wilton black. I have a dark gray. Any ideas. Need it by Friday.

Wrap it up and let it sit overnight.. It will usually darken.

We have used a chocolate BC base and then added black to it. It has worked every time, without a bad after taste.

If you can, use Americolors gel. It seems to get much better results than the Wilton black.

With Wilton Black you either get grey or a weird teal!

Americolor is the only way!! You should invest in those for sure.


Definately for a Wilton black you need a chocolate based bc! That's about the only way to get black with Wilton without having to use the entire jar!!!!!

Start with Choc. BC then add Americolor Super Black... This is the closet to a black black that you could get! icon_smile.gif
