I googled free avatars and came up with tons of sites that let you download them but I suggest you check the size CC only lets you upload them in a certain size. I say that because I don't know how to make my own pix that small from my computer or else my avatar will be pic of my cat or one of my ugly cakes that I am most proud of good luck, for now all I got is The Cowboys

I had the same problem. I wanted to put a pic of my grandson but it said it was too big. I might try the site booberfrog sent.
I did shrink by animated cake though from a site someone else posted in the "how to avatar thread".

I just encountered this problem over the weekend. I finally got the picture the right size (I'm pretty computer illiterate) by clicking on Image if you have Microsoft Photo Editor, then Resize, and then reducing it to 110 or below for the length and width. It looked miniscule, but when I uploaded it for my avatar, it was bigger. I don't know if any of this makes sense.

I think that is why my avatar is blurry, because I had to reduce it so much. then when it looked miniscule, I think I screwed it up. I never dared to try to fix it. It's so long ago that I don't remember how.

Anyhow, one of the forums, I think it's this one (How do I?) has information about how to do avatars right up in one of the first messages.

I thought I would say thanks to whoever posted this forum because I was wandering the same thing. I went to shrinkpictures.com like someone suggested. Went to resize. Picked my picture from my computer. Selected 100 px and it resized it. YOu save it and then go to my forum info. all the way down at the bottom you browse your saved photo double click and press submit. It was so easy!

I just tried shrinkpictures.com. My current (blurry) avatar came out more clear ... but it had a black background to it and the "moving hearts" disappeared. I think I prefer blurry with the little hearts.
