Hello All!
I need some opinions from everyone......I have all my cake photos on Yahoo Photos, and when I logged into them this morning, I got a message saying that Yahoo Photos is closing on September 20th and I need to choose where to put my photos. There are five options, but I don't really know anything about them. I was hoping I could get opinions on them from you guys!!
Thanks everyone for your opinions!!!

I use Flickr (see link below). It's free for a good bit of storage, but I opted for the $25 annual fee to get practically unlimited storage. You can add comments to each photo; you can arrange them in a slide show and you can group them (birthdays, weddings, etc). Flickr is designed as a photographer's site for displaying photos, so it's user friendly for photo posting.
May I ask, is there a reason to even have them out on the internet? If not then I'd just get a 32GB drive. The only photo's I have out on the internet are on this site, my website and my blog all others are stored a specific flash drive.
for those who don't blog (or want the hassle -- i.e. who want a "no-brainer" solution, including uploading large numbers of pictures, as in a whole folder of them in just one shot)
sites such as the ones listed make it easy to post photo for friends and family to share and even get printed copies.

Ohhhhhhhhh now I get it. ![]()
Okay then, chelleb1974 what type of camera do you have? I'd check to see if they have a site.......
I have never had any problems with shutterfly. I have different pics organized into different albums to keep them all straight. I have my cake pics on one page for when I want to share. Then when I want to have them print them for me, it's really easy to order prints. I love their photobooks, cards, and other gift items. I've gotten them before and people love them.
I haven't tried the other picture companies so don't really have anything to compare with it but I've been satisfied with shutterfly.
Thank you everyone for your opinions!! The reason I have them on the web is mostly so friends and family can see them (I think Doug said that). I have an HP camera and was going to check out their photo site (it was one of the ones listed, but don't remember which one
).
I was checking out flickr and noticed it is a yahoo company, so was also leaning towards that one.
Thanks again everyone!!

I just got into Winkflash.com. It's free and there is unlimited storage, unlimited photo albums, unlimited photos per album. I'm still getting used to it. My clubphoto.com crashed on me. On clubphoto I could upload 5 at a time. On winkflash, I could just drag the into the site to my heart's content! Try this link and see if it leads you to my page of albums. Then, hopefully you can click on an album and see the pictures (they are all cakes).

(I'm actually curious if it works through this link, so feedback would be appreciated ... you can pm me so it doesn't intrude on this topic.)
I have two digicams... one is a Kodak Easy Share (my main one) and one that was handed down to my husband for job pics that's a Vivitar.
I ONLY used Photobucket and think it's best! I too started with Yahoo, years ago, maybe 7 years ago... and then when I started on Myspace I found out about PhotoBucket and decided to house pics there since you can make multiple folders for your photos, and you can keep it private so no one browsing and searching for photos can pop into yours... I have folders for everything, main is for stuff I'll post on myspace for friends comments and such and decorate my profile with, business is my cake photos, ideas is pics I've found elsewhere on the web that I'd like to use as a reference to my clients if they need inspiration and I can't get to CC or can't get to my laptop, private is full of photos for a police investigation lol (had to show my friend what happened lol)
I have 668 pictures total on PhotoBucket so far and have not reached my max. Once I reach my max I can create another account which is really cool ![]()
So yes I recommend PhotoBucket! ![]()
I have photos stored on Snapfish and Shutterfly, and I've never had any problems with either. ![]()
I moved my photos from yahoo photos to flickr. When directing clients there to look at pictures, do they have to sign in as a flickr member to view your pics?
Suzy, they do not have to have an account on flickr to view your photos, nor do they need an account on yahoo, or photobucket ![]()
Try www.photoworks.com also. I use this site and they have some really neat gift ideas as well. I have ordered many prints from them and a photo book too and I love them!
