I am looking for directions/pictures on how to make a giant cupcake cake. One that looks like a cupcake only giant!!! I have an idea of how to put this together, but want advice from anyone who has tried to do this.

Thanks

My mum has directions to make a giant cupcake in a book but i can't get hold of it at the mo. i remember reading the instrutions and there is a cake tin that gives the shape and folds at the side like a paper cake case.

bake the cake in this shaped tin, don't level it. Turn it upside down and lay fondant over, easing it into the creases of the cake. trim the bottom of the fondant so that it is either level with the edges of the cake or overlaps slightly. Turn the cake over again and TADAAH!! One giant cup cake in a "paper case"

The risen top of the cake will be showing so ice it which ever way you want and decorate the paper case with little flowers

If you're a little stuck let me know and i'll try to post the instructions

I actually have the video on how to do it. I love to watch sugar rush on the food network and colette peters showed how to do it on one episode. It was just multiple stacks of round cake filled with buttercream. She iced it and applied the fondant over it. That was the layers for the cup, then she had a second layer wich was sort of tilted for the cupcake part and added that to the buttom layer. Then she added fondant to the top. I wish I could better explain it. You can try going to the sugar rush page and checking for that episode.
