How do you nominate a fellow cc'er? Some folks have the words vote for me or nominate me or something like that and others do not.... ? Thanks.

If there's no nominate me button, they're not eligible for nomination.

The Nominate Me button automagically appears when you have met the requirements that have been listed here:
http://cakecentral.com/help.php?faq_id=43&category_id=6

* You must have made at least 100 posts in the forums
* You must upload at least 1 photo outside of the Naughty cakes gallery
* You must have gallery comments activated on your account.
* You must be subscribed to the cakecentral.com newsletter

If the CC'er doesn't have a Nominate Me button, they probably don't meet one of these criteria.

Do the ones who don't have a nominate button not have any pictures on the site? For instance, I can nominate you, but not JanH. It may also have to do with the number of posts that they have as well.

Well, there aren't that many: two birthday cakes (one of which took a nosedive in the back of my car) two shower cakes and my son's wedding cake. icon_redface.gif

I bake and frost a lot, (my DH has quite a sweet tooth) but don't really do much "decorating" except for my grandkids birthdays and such.... tapedshut.gif

My family makes a big deal out of them (only because no one else bakes) but they're really made with more love than skill. icon_lol.gif

Before CC, I had never made anything bigger than an 10" (frosted not decorated) layer cake. But after six months at CC, I was able to make my son's wedding cake. icon_biggrin.gif

After that, I was inspired by cakes seen in the galleries.... thumbs_up.gif
(Although the original creators probably wouldn't recognize them.) icon_rolleyes.gif

Maybe not for me to say but I don't think you should be embarassed. icon_redface.gif
If you made a wedding cake it must be nice. It doesn't have to be fancy to be nice or live up to any standard. You are a wonderful resource on this board and are very appreciated. Consider posting.... There are a lot of really nice people on here... Join in as a baker too.... Got a pic of the wedding cake, the shower cakes....? Come on.... icon_smile.gif

Hey Guys...encourage JanH! She helps us all so much... Come on Jan... Come out of the pantry! We won't bite... maybe... icon_evil.gif

JanH ~ you deserve to be in the spotlight. You are one of the most helpful people in this forum thumbs_up.gif I don't know how many times I read a post from you where you have linked lots of great information and I say to myself, "how in the world does she do that". I'm always amazed at how you keep up with the posts and remember where to find them. thumbs_up.gif
