I Am Scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I did a cake today for one of my friend's daugther. She came to pick up the cake at 6:00 pm because she was going to take it to her job tomorrow. Before she left I asked her were do you work?, and she said that she work in the WIC office icon_eek.gif (near the office were my health inspector work) icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

So, I am so scared thinking that tomorrow I am going to receive the call from my HI( [ icon_cool.gif I am ilegal homebaker, but saving money to be legal]

I wouldn't worry about it, if she likes your cake she's not going to report you. It's not like she *is* the Health Inspector. Stop worrying and sleep well. icon_biggrin.gif

As far as they know you did a cake as a favor to a friend.............. a sort of birthday gift.

Does your friend know you aren't legal? Did she pay for it? Ask her to keep mum about it. If she is a friend she will cover for you. I understand why you are scared but I think you will be ok. thumbs_up.gif

OOOOOOOh how I'm dying inside. It's not funny but I was in a similar situation...this person worked for the gov and was over the business analyst type part or something of another. Anyway, it had everything to do with business except health inspections. I really didn't think anything of it though. Yep, she had enough pull to flag me in but she didn't know where I was working. As far as they know, you could be working out of a church kitchen. Just because you don't have a store front doesn't mean you can't be legal. If you are working in a licensed kitchen with everything in order on your end...you can deliver, deliver, deliver. I wouldn't worry about it too much...if anything, they will warn you 1st...not throw you in jail. Some people don't even care, some do. She could've paid you for the supplies for making the cake. I'm sure if she's a friend, she has you covered.

I called her at 8:00 am the following day, and told her to please do not say anything about me, she was very nice and said no to worry, she told me that sometimes she buys food from her aunt(she is ilegal too). She said "I am going to tell them that my mom did the cake"

Hopefully her mom don't get loaded with orders icon_lol.gif

hehehe... i am sure she knows who is who and would pass on your info if they really like the cake and want one themselves... good of her to keep to herself see you stressed and you didnt need to.. glad it worked out
