I've done my niece's bridal shower cake, her colors were pink, I done pink roses and she told me that her flowers were fading, when I seen the cake, later that day(I didn't get to go to the shower) her flowers were white and also the leaves and the vines!!! I have never had that happen to me!! But the weather was hot, I figured that might have something to do with it. But what happen to make that happen??

did you use icing white in your icing? then add the coloring I did that once before and it did pull all the color out.

I have had pink fade in the sunlight and/or the heat. I have never been able to figure out why I only have problems with pink. I would also love to hear if anyone has a solution!

I emailed Wilton about this months ago and according to them
color will fade under direct sunlight, flourescent lighting or just the cake sitting on the counter for hours..
