I would like to know what the difference is between a regular daisy and a gerber daisy? How do you make a gerber daisy using royal icing? Does anyone have a tuturiol that I could watch?

Thank you

Kathy

Hi! I've made the gerbera daisies just like the regular daisies, but with vibrant colors. Depending on what you need them for, you could make them larger, but generally I think they're the same method.

The are the same method and you can turn your tip 104 the opposite direction (wide end at outer edge I believe) to get the gerber effect. It makes them a little bit wider petal. Hope this helps. I know it is hard to visualize.

Sdanczak

Is it still only one row of petals or more than one.
Is that the difference between the daisies. If that is all I have to do is to make 2 rows of petals that isn't too bad. Do you have a photo?

Thanks loads,

I don't have a photo. I have seen gerbers done with 1 and 2 petals. If I were you, I would do a search in the galleries and look to see what others have done. Good luck. Sara

I'm doing some daisies now for a cake on Tuesday and I punched them out with the Wilton daisy fondant cutters. They're sooooo much easier than trying to do them with a tip IMO.
