I have a big annual BBQ comming up that I have to take dessert to. Most of the time I take filled cupcakes, cause they are easy to serve, eat and great tasting. I usually do chocolate with a vanilla cream filling but wanted something diffrent this year. What have you tried that would be good for a BBQ ....it will be in the 90's so something that will stand up to the heat. Any IDEAS???

The wasc cake with raspberry filling and maybe a raspberry glaze on top with raspberries sprinkled on. For that matter blueberries, strawberries--you get the idea.

You could try different varieties of cupcakes. I love chocolate peanut butter cake and I'm going to try a chocolate cupcake (with peanut butter filling) next weekend.

The peanut butter filling recipe is on CC.

Also chocolate and raspberry filling/chocolate/nutella filling/vanilla with jam filling are also good combinations.

i agree with Doug and Crystalina. Fruit filling should stand up to the heat better. Citrus flavors (orange or lemon) will be refreshing in that kind of heat.
