I absolutely love the cakes in the gallery with the poured chocolate on the tiers. Can anyone tell me if you pour first or after tiers are assembled?

I think you could do it either way, But that cake looks like there is a slight seperation in the top and middle layers if you are doing it this way then you would have to pour before stacking.

The middle looks stacked right on the bottom and it looks like it was poured after stacking (cause the board is covered), so it really just depends on the look you want.

I like to pour my tiers seperately then assemble. I do not like the clumping at the bottom. Besides each top of the cake has ganache, I then have a slight gap between so everyone gets a taste of the rich good stuff.
