One of my friends had a father who was notoriously greedy.
One day his mother had baked and decorated a fancy cake for a family party, and the father had been specifically warned to keep his hands off it before the guests came, because he had been sniffing around hopefully.
Later the mother noticed that the cake looked a little less impressive than she'd thought, and upon closer inspection she found that 'someone' had taken a knife and sliced off the entire bottom of the cake. When challenged, he said he thought nobody would notice, and at least he hadn't cut a big wedge out of it...
ROFLMAO!! That's hilarious!! I had never thought about cutting the bottom of the cake like that before. When I was young I was a cake junkie (still am) I used to be the one to cut the centre out and fill it with paper towels and ice that over so you could not tell that a hole was cut into it. I wish I had thought about cutting the bottom off before!
