Have an order for marble cake-have'nt done this except in bundt pan!
Planned to use doctored box mixes of choc & white ( with extender for one )for an 11 x 15 sheet cake. I want to torte it and have it nice and tall. Do I just mix each cake batter separately and alternately spoon them into the pan, then do a little swirl with a knife through the batter before baking?
Do the two batters bake evenly? I'll use a flower nail in the center. Anything I'm missing?

I just did a search in the forums for marble cake. Check out these topics for different ways to do them. Your thought process will work it just depends on what works best for you.

As for the batters baking evenly. They will be fine since they are swirled together. The only time i've had a problem with them not is when I do a 1/2 and 1/2 cake. Sometimes they bake differently but I ended up figureing out a way that it always works for me now.
