Yeah ME and MMF!!!! I know all you newbies will understand my excitement... This is going to be an exciting week... I am doing my first FBCT on Wed or Thurs.... Pray for success!!! ~Tonja

Congrats. I made my first batch of MMF about 2 weeks ago. You can see the Elmos that I made with it, and also the waterslide cake that they were one in my photos. FBCT are fun as well and I have one in there also. Have fun. I really enjoyed the MMF and cannot wait until I can use it some more.

Danni,

that Elmo cake is toooooo cute! I love it!

I made MMF for the first time this weekend and was giggling the whole time because it was so fun! When I actually got it on the cake successfully, I was literally jumping up and down! I never thought that I could do fondant. It came out sooo smooth. I'm in love!

I even used too much cornstarch for rolling, I could tell that it was too dry, but it worked out great anyway!

When I use up my leftovers, I'm going to roll out with Crisco as I've seen posted on the forums lately.

icon_smile.gif I totally understand your excitement!

Ain't it great when you finally take the plunge and try something new, and find out it wasn't difficult at all?! I know that is the way it was for me the first time I tried both MMF and FBCT.
Congratulations on your firsts.

I haven't tried MMF yet, but I'm wondering, why do you have to roll it out with Crisco?

It tends to stick to the surface.. some use powdered sugar, some cornstarch and some crisco. I haven't rolled mine out yet
