Cake Top A Little Dark

Once turning the cake over from leveling it. Have anyone ever leveled the top of the cake alsoturning it over.

I made a cake, leveled it and then turned over, but the top side which was the bottom is a little dark and smell a little burned, so I was wondering would it mess up my cake if I also leveled this side as well and took off that part that is a little dark!

Please help this is a cake I have made today!

won't hurt other than making it even more important to do a crumb coat to control those little critters!
