Just wondering if I can make her royal icing ahead of time & store it in the 'fridge until I need it....like keep it there for 3 days or so & just re-whip it when I'm ready to use it.

Thanks in advance icon_smile.gif

Yes, it will last for a long time in an airtight container. I usually place a piece of saran wrap right on top of the icing and then the lid over the container. KEEP OUT OF FRIDGE! Keep it at room temp. I keep mine for a week or so... some say it will keep even longer than that. It does need to be re-whipped though.

You know....you can PM me if you have any questions about my recipe, right? icon_confused.gif

It can stay out about 3-4 weeks at room temp when air-tight, though it does usually need to be re-whipped after storing it for 2 or more days. You'll see that the icing separates into 3 layers of liquid/solid/foam and you have to beat all of that back together for about 5-10 minutes again before re-using.

Yup! I usually whip up a double batch to last me a couple of weeks. Just re-whip and it's good to go!
