Grad Cake Need Help!!!! Horses??

I was asked to make a grad cake for a co-workers daughter. He just wants a small sheet cake. He wants Congratulations Melissa 2007. The school color is green. But he said she is really into horses and wanted to incorporate that into the cake, any ideas???? I was thinking of maybe getting some plastic horses to put on the cake board infront of the cake, but I am clueless on any other ideas?? HELP!!!!!
I put a "chocolate" horse just the other day on a fathers day cake, and it looked great! I just outlined the horse drawing with chocolate and had it sticking out of the cake with a sucker stick
I did my DH Fathers Day Cake with horses...I did a chocolate transfer of 2 Tenn. Walking Horses that I got off the internet. It was my 1st. time doing a chocolate transfer, it was fun to do and not as hard as I thought it be, but then I only use 2 colors of chocolate (dark & light chocolate).
You could do as spoiledbyneil did and fix them to a sucker stick, or the FBCT that momg9 spoke of, they both are great ideas also. You could even find a candy mold of horses and make them in it, or a cookie cutter and make a cookie one, or cut one out of fondant with the cookie cutter and place them on the cake.
The rope border MicheleH said is also another great idea.
Hope this helps, God Bless,
Sharon
Heres a quick idea taking in suggestions from above
The horses represent running into the future and free from high school
Horses could be done with FBCT, chocolate transfer or done directly on the cake like a color flow. As sugguested earlier a rope border would look good with this theme. The horses could be done in black, grey, brown (disregard the grey back ground around the horses)
Wow great ideas thanks so much for everything! I will definitely use some of these ideas! Thank you so very much! I appreciate it!!!
