I have seen food coloring markers availible. Dont know where I saw these but I also saw some refillable food markers. They look like an empty marker if you can imagine it. What you do is take some coloring paste and thin it down with lemon extract and fill up the marker resevoir. Yeah I know I spelled it all wrong but you get the point 
then you have a food safe marker in just the color you need.
