Is there such a thing as edible chalk or something similar that lets me sketch out designs on the cake before I ice it? I sometime use a small wooden rod dipped in icing sugar that lets me plan and erase my design if its no good?

I don't know of any edible, just non toxic. Can you use powdered food coloring and a paint brush?

I have seen food coloring markers availible. Dont know where I saw these but I also saw some refillable food markers. They look like an empty marker if you can imagine it. What you do is take some coloring paste and thin it down with lemon extract and fill up the marker resevoir. Yeah I know I spelled it all wrong but you get the point icon_rolleyes.gif then you have a food safe marker in just the color you need.
