I fix mine by heating up a spoon over the stove and when warm rubbing it over the cracks. It softens it up and rubs all the cracks out.

Good luck with it.

gumpaste? if it is dry, there isn't anything you can do. and if it hasn't dried, i'd still scrap it and start over. once dry it is very fragile, and any cracks likely will break later on.

maybe you can pipe a little bit of royal icing over the crack and then remove it. that will seal the crack i think. just be gentle.

Ok, NO FLAMES!

My first suggestion is royal icing tinted to the color of the bow. It will take a fair amount if the breaks are where the bow is up in the air, and in order to really hide it, you may need to then pipe a design on the bow with the royal to camouflage the repair.

Second, if the crack is in an area not easily hidden or camouflaged, I'd suggest trying super glue. It is considered "relatively non-toxic"--there are internet suggestions about using it to repair broken braces and teeth (natural and false), so since the bow probably wouldn't be eaten (and now you should make certain that it isn't eaten), this should be just fine. You can get pretty good control with the small opening in this type of glue and it dries clear.

Third, and this would be my last resort before making the whole thing over again, would be hot glue. This, for me, has been a messy repair option because it globs, it cools too fast for smoothing, and it dries sort of opaque. Again, on the right area of the bow (very hidden), it may not make much of a difference. As with the super glue, the bow should not be eaten and should be removed before serving.

Best of luck,
Rae
