Thanks to everyone, again. I'll try to do sort of a blanket (if long) response, since I haven't been here since yesterday, and there have been 1600 hits on the site since I published it! icon_surprised.gif

1. I changed the font to black so it wouldn't get lost in the background, so that's done. My editor friend suggested larger font but then changed her mind, so I may leave it for now.

2. I have Internet Explorer, so I had no idea some viewers would get a scrunched look, but I'm not techie enough to handle that issue.

3. I still have to look at cropping some of the distracting things (especially date stamps) out of the pictures. The whole thing was built in about 6 hours, so obviously I needed some help with the final result--which is where you guys (and my editor pal) came in! icon_wink.gif Her other main assignment for me was to have me break the Tips for Brides page into bulleted items under headings--what do you guys think? I like to read it as if I'm just chatting with the reader, but I'll bullet it if I must, lol.

4. I will maybe do a bit more editing. Bear in mind, though, that I am pretty chatty, and a lot of the seemingly extra wordiness will probably stay because I like it that way. They don't have to read it all if they don't want to, but I don't want the site to seem devoid of my own personality, because I want my customers to feel they already "know" me a bit after reading it. This way if they don't want a chatty, friendly cake decorator, they should by all means go to a bakery where they can probably order by phone and never get to know the person involved, lol. icon_lol.gif

5. I too was thinking last night that the "things to do while you're here" may be unnecessary, so that may get tweaked next.

6. The reason I specifically don't have a prominent link to the Special Occasion cakes is exactly for the reason mentioned: I don't want to get too much into doing those, because I really DO mainly want to focus on weddings. I considered leaving them out altogether, but I figured it'd be fun for people to see what else I've done.

You guys have been awsome and kind, and I really have enjoyed reading all your hints and tips, from "readers" points of view, and many of you have caught things I never would have seen. thumbs_up.gif I have been printing this thread each day so I can use your remarks as I edit the site. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to fine-tooth comb it and for being so nice about it! icon_smile.gif
