SO i went into joann fabrics and decided to take a look in the cake/candy isle. I saw packs of SHIMMER dust and cake GLITTER. is shimmer dust similar to luster dust? Pearl dust? and etc? Can it be used on fondant? That'd be awesome if it is, but i was in a HURRY so i couldn't look

Wilton's shimmer dust and the traditional luster dusts are not the same thing. W's Shimmer dust is a course grain, more like a between colored sugars and dusts. It can not be mixed with anything and painted on.

It can be used on fondant though. You use a paint brush to wet (with water) the area you want the dust to be and sprinkle it over it. It is suppose to stick with the water.
