I have made some up to two weeks ahead of time. Freeze, when hard I would put in a container (like rubbermaid). I can stack them on each with wax paper in between. I use americolor and they did not bleed. If store in freezer for awhile make sure to a box of baking soda to absorbe oder from other foods in your freezer. You may do not smell them but the FBT can get the smell from other food in to it.
