What Would You Put On Top Of This Cake?

I'm doing my first wedding cake in a few weeks (yay!) and the bride isn't sure she wants a traditional wedding cake topper (2nd marrige). I'm going to *attempt* to attach the picture here (couldn't get it to work this morning). I didn't really like the gumpaste bow worked w/ this cake, but I wasn't sure about flowers either since there are no other flowers on this cake at all. Thanks for the input.
JMHO, but I don't really like the ribbon either on the cake. It might be nice for a 50th wedding anniversary or something, but not for a wedding. Could you omit the ribbon or change the colour of it, and then add fresh flowers to the top that would compliment the ribbon?
Just a thought
Hi,
Maybe a monogram topper made from royal icing with the same design as the sides of the cake? I've seen them on a few cakes on this site lately.
Monogram for sure- you can mkae your own out of chocolate or gumpaste...
OHhh, I never thought of a monogram, that's a great idea!
Countrykittie - I know what you mean about the ribbon type part of it. The bride specifically chose this cake because it looked like a wedding cake but yet still not a "traditional" wedding cake because of the 2nd marriage. I kind of think she had just planned on just saying the "I do's" but her family kinda talked her into an actual wedding.
Sunny77 - She hasn't decided on that yet. We're meeting this week to get a little more set on things like that. She's really busy and a "real" wedding was kind of a last minute thing so there are a lot of things to do!
