OK, I have officially decided that I don't like to actually bake the cakes...I just want to decorate them!
Does anyone have a baker that they use in the Toronto Canada area?? If so PLEASE refer me to them!
Or...if anyone has a baker, could you tell me how much you pay them to bake your cakes so I can find someone and pay them!!

no i have not hired anyone. one man shop here. 
as for being able to refer someone in canada. mmm. klara johnson is there but i am not too sure if she would bake the cakes for you. you can ask though. it wont hurt to ask. the most that she can tell you is no. but then again she may be able to tell you yes too. she is who taught me all my gumpaste work.

I hired my 17 year old cousin who loves baking, and so far, it has turned out great. Any specialty cake or anything other than the "regulars" I do myself. I pay her 20% of what I make. She also buys the cake mixes and keeps the eggs, oil on hand. She lives nearby, and i pick up the cakes from her.
So thats what works for us
(I do realize we're younger and an adult baker may want more money.)
