Ok, I am making my daughter's first bday cake. It's going to be 2 tiers, Baby Einstein themed. It will have the caterpillar on the top tier and music notes on the second tier. As far as the writing on the cake, what icing would be the best to use (and quickest) for the writing?! Thanks in advance!

Depends on what effect you want. You could either use BC, candy melts, RI, chocolate etc. I guess work with whatever you have handy. HTH.

The easiest way: Ready-To-Use Icing Tubes, Ready-To-Use Gel Tubes, Icing Writer or even Sparkle Gel from Wilton.

Here's what to look for:

Although you might be able to find something similar to the icing tubes in a large grocery store....

I just need something that will be stiff enough I guess you could say. I tried just playing around decorating with my great aunt's cream cheese recipse and it was not stiff enough for me. Know any quick recipes for RI?
